background
It's time to Celebrate Life and Song June 12, 2010 with Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers in Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point), Mexico! Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers are proud to announce Circus Mexicus in Rocky Point on Jun. 12, sponsored by our friends at Chango's Rocky Point Bar & Grill.

Circus Mexicus Weekend List of things to do:

Fiesta is number one. Siesta is number two. Attention all you pirates, banditos, beach bums, fat-native-skinny-dippin-semi-professional tourists, borracheros y cancioneros,  Circus Mexicus 2010 promises to be our best yet!  Circus Mexicus weekend is officially three days of events in Rocky Point, Mexico, and some of our friends in Arizona are helping us stretch it into four days. So rest up, pace yourselves, and get ready for the biggest RCPM fiesta of the year!  To help everyone keep track of all the events going on, we've put together a timeline of some of the big events during the weekend, leaving plenty of room, of course, for you to make some of your own plans and get out to the beach, the shops and many of the fine restaurants Puerto Peñasco has to offer.

¡FIESTA ANTES DE LA FIESTA GRANDE!

Thurs. June 10

Circus Mexicus pre-party at the Four Peaks Brewery, 1340 East 8th Street, Tempe, AZ. Drink specials from 4-6pm. RCPM music on the PA system. The club will be giving away band merch all night.  The band is not scheduled to make an appearance here. But this will be a great place to meet up with old amigos you may have not seen since last year, make new friends, arrange car pools and plan out your Rocky Point weekend with other fans.

DIA UNO - ¡BIENVENIDOS!

Fri. June 11

6 p.m. - Back by popular demand, PH's "A Hot Dog & A Smile" Charity BBQ at JJ's Cantina. The popularity of this event has grown each year. Last year's show was widely considered by fans as one of the best Circus Mexicus Friday nights ever!  Because you requested it, The Railbenders will be returning for an encore performance.  Also returning by popular demand, Jason Boots and Random Karma. Donations for hot dogs and soda appreciated.  All proceeds go to benefit the children at Esperanza Para Los Niños Orphanage.  You can find more information at http://www.esperanzaparalosninos.com/.

PLEASE NOTE:  The Esparanza Para Los Niños Orphanage needs household items such as toilet paper, cleaning supplies, paper towels, brushes, shampoo, soap, etc. Your donations are always appreciated.

- 9:00 p.m. - The Railbenders

DIA DOS - ¡CIRCUS MEXICUS FIESTA GRANDE!

Sat. June 12

9:30 a.m. - Rock and Soccer. Mandatory check-in time for players in the first annual Rock and Soccer Tournament. Check-in will be on Sandy Beach in front of the Sonoran Spa and Sea.

10 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Soccer tournament! We're on a tight schedule, so we need players in place and ready to play at their assigned times. Failure to do so may result in your team forfeiting. We understand you'll be at JJ's the night before.  But last minute hangovers or players claiming they canceled their wake-up calls won't excuse you from being late. At stake is a certain soccer-playing lead singer who could miss sound check! .All proceeds from the event benefit the Larry Large Foundation (childrens charities).   Spectators are encouraged to show up and cheer on the teams.  A few additional team shirts will be available for sale for spectators.

¡Viva La Circus Mexicus!

6 p.m. - Doors to Circus Mexicus, right next to Chango's Bar and Grill, open! Plus strolling mariachis.

7 p.m. - Eddie Spaghetti of the Supersuckers takes the stage with Tyson, Tony and Graham of The Railbenders.

8 p.m. - Main event, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers in concert!
